Boulder Creek Scout Reservation covers over 300 acres of varied terrain and three ecological zones; Riparian, Mixed Conifer Forest, and Chaparral. The Camp borders lush Bear Creek where Salmon and Steelhead spawn. Towering redwoods form cathedral groves throughout the park-like property. Oaks and firs fill out the lush canopy. A Chaparral zone fosters Knob Cone Pines and rare naturally- stunted pygmy redwoods. Deer, squirrels, owls, newts, and banana slugs are just a few of the many animals commonly seen here. Hiking the Nature Trail shows off the unique flora and fauna of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Come see if you can find Wild Ginger or the shy Pacific Giant Salamander. Hike the Historical Trail and learn the rich lore of turn-of-the-century logging in the Santa Cruz Mountains. This trail holds the honor of inclusion in the Boy Scout National Register of Trails.BoulderBrochure
